Pacquiao vs. Mosley Weigh-in Results & Analysis
- Manny Pacquiao: 145 lbs
- Shane Mosley: 147 lbs
Both fighters look to be in extremely good shape. You can tell Pacquiao is heavier than he used to be, especially around the chest and back where he is more filled out and muscular. Shane also looks ripped and ready, and both fighters are in good moods as usual as they step on the scales and then face off. If anything, Paquiao doesn’t look as cut as he usually does, but he’s certainly ready to go.
PPV Undercard Weights
- Wilfredo Vazquez Jr: 122 lbs
- Jorge Arce: 122 lbs
Not much of a size difference here, although you might have expected Vazquez Jr. to be the bigger guy. Both guys run their mouths and have plenty to say to each other while up close and personal, and the two both look to be in phenomenal shape.
- Kelly Pavlik: 170 lbs
- Alfonso Lopez: 169 lbs
Pavlik looks to be in good condition, if somewhat unhappy about being in the undercard spot, perhaps. He’s also sporting all kinds of tats and ink. Roberto Duran comes to the stage at this point and takes in the festivities.
- Mike Alvarado: 139 lbs
- Ray Narh: 140 lbs

Pacquiao-Mosley Weigh-in Recap
James Brown hosted the weigh-in festivities, and the crowd was packed, with thousands in attendance taking in the size, and being louder and rowdier than many live fight crowds. Not only that, but fans actually had to be turned away, that’s how many people were in attendance. The super sexy Ines Sainz was also on hand, and she interviewed the fighters.
Mosley said he didn’t want to get too heavy for tomorrow night, but he’d probably weigh about 10 lbs more when the fight went off. Mosley says he’ll shock the world and deliver a knockout punch.
Pacquiao will be wearing yellow gloves for the fight tomorrow night, which he says represents unity, and he is fighting to try to end hunger in the Philippines. Arum calls Pacquiao the best fighter he has ever seen or worked with in his life. James Brown marvels at the fact that there has been absolutely no trash-talking prior to the event.
After Brown and Arum continue to talk up both of the fighters for several minutes, then Jimmy Lennon Jr. takes the microphone and introduces the fighters. Both fighters get lots of cheers, but Pacquiao’s is deafening and Mosley’s is much more modest.
Mosley comments that all of the negative opinions about him isn’t getting to him, and he’s excited to fight against Pacquiao tomorrow night. Pacquiao said he was very focused and trained very hard, because of how much he respects Mosley. And with that the fighters exited, and we’ll have to wait until tomorrow evening to see them again.
