Jake Paul has been offered a shock opportunity at winning a world heavyweight title after Daniel Dubois became the latest big name to call him out after his win over Mike Tyson.

IBF heavyweight titlist, Dubois joined undisputed light heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev in providing Paul a straight shot at a maiden world title.

In an Instagram DM, which ‘The Problem Child’ leaked to his 4.7m followers on X, Dubois said: “Hi Jake.

“Good business on the weekend, but how would you feel fighting for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world?

“This is Daniel Dubois calling you out.

“Let’s get it on.”

The pair are familiar with each other, with Dubois having fought on the undercard of Paul’s first victory over Tyron Woodley back in August 2021.

The 27-year-old, who made his debut at heavyweight, by comfortably outpointing former undisputed heavyweight champion, Tyson, 58, at AT&T Stadium on Friday, accepted the Londoner’s offer, whilst appearing to reject Beterbiev’s callout.

“Man been boxing for 12 years, has over 100 fights between amateur and pro and fought on my undercard…hahaha,” he wrote on X.

“But f*** it…I’m going to have [my manager] Nakisa [Bidarian] talk to Frankie Warren [Dubois’ promoter, Frank Warren] and get you in line for the throne.

“Unlike Artur, at least you have a few thousand fans.”

Paul is not ranked in any of the four major governing bodies and it would seem unlikely that the typically stringent IBF would sanction a bout between the duo.

The Ohio man took his professional record up to 11 victories, with just one defeat, whilst Tyson suffered a first career loss by decision in his first professional outing in almost 20 years.

Dubois, however is still yet to finalise an opponent for the next defence of his crown, after talks with Anthony Joshua over a rematch collapsed.

‘Dynamite’ made a first defence of his title with a ruthless fifth round stoppage over ‘AJ’ in September at Wembley Stadium and has been linked to both Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.
