Jake Paul says Tommy Fury is the hardest puncher he’s ever faced despite having just fought Mike Tyson.

Paul secured his fifth straight victory since a sole professional loss to Fury when he outpointed former undisputed heavyweight champion, Tyson over eight rounds in Texas on Friday.

Much of the intrigue heading into the showdown was whether Tyson, 58, returning from a 20-year professional retirement, could detonate one of his signature punches to derail the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s progress.

But, in truth ‘Iron Mike’ was never able to produce any of the formidable power which saw him become the youngest heavyweight champion of all-time.

Paul admits Fury was in fact the hardest puncher he’s ever faced over the aforementioned Tyson, who he faced in his first bout at heavyweight.

“I would say Tommy Fury,” Paul replied when asked who the hardest puncher he’s faced on BS w/ Jake Paul.

“It’s the shots you don’t see, so Tommy was a little tricky.

“What I mean by that is if you see the punch coming, you can prepare for it.

“So if you’re going into something and you can’t see it and then all of a sudden you get hit, that’s when it hurts.

“So Tommy was more tricky with that, but Mike’s punches I could see coming.

“He was strong, but he didn’t land anything clean.

“So I honestly didn’t feel Mike Tyson’s full power, but that’s good, you don’t want to.

“So I was just moving, staying elusive and the only thing he was kind of landing was that hook, but I just kept my hand up on the telephone.”

Fury is set to make a ring return of his own on January 18 when he clashes with former UFC star, Darren Till in Manchester.

The 25-year-old says he was not surprised that the Ohio man didn’t call his name out after the fight and insists he would have no chance of beating him in a rematch.

“He’s not going to mention it,” Fury told Pro Boxing Fans on Tuesday.

“[He says] ‘oh I run boxing, I’m the king of this.’

“You’re not mate.

“You faced one boxer who is your own age and a novice at that and you got beat.

“He actually got beaten easy, because if you watch the fight back it was a complete unanimous decision.

“I outboxed him in every round and I think because I slipped in the eighth round, that’s the one big claim that he’s got.

“He’s not going to mention my name.

“Jake Paul will never be able to beat me.”
