New York-area fight fans enjoyed a night of explosive boxing action with a five-fight card of professional fights presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing from the Paradise Theatre in the Bronx, NY. This card was all about the undefeated young prospects, Michael Perez and Eddie Gomez. Both of these young sensations took their overmatched foes to school, and scored 1st round victories. Gomez earned a TKO in the first over Marcus Hall, and Perez scored a KO in the first over Miguel Rodriguez, each keeping their undefeated records intact as they continue to build their resumes.
Next week’s edition of “Sólo Boxeo Tecate,” will see Golden Boy Promotions and 8 Count Productions return to the UIC Pavilion in Chicago with a scheduled seven-fight card featuring East Los Angeles’ rising undefeated junior welterweight star Frankie Gomez (10-0, 8 KO’s) against Berwyn, Illinois’ Adrian Granados (5-0-1, 3 KO’s) in an eight-round main event. The co-featured fight will see unbeaten Omar Figueroa (12-0-1, 9 KO’s) of Weslaco, Texas squaring off against Marcos Herrera (6-6-1, 2 KO’s) of Brighton, Colorado in an eight round lightweight bout. The fights will be broadcast live on TeleFutura’s “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” at 11:30pm ET / PT (10:30pm CT).
