In a shocking and gory turn of events, boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather beheaded his next boxing opponent, Canelo Alvarez, at a press conference promoting their forthcoming fight, dubbed “THE ONE.”
The event transpired in the midst of the whirlwind, 11-city press tour to promote the Mayweather vs. Alvarez fight, which had seen the fighters traverse from coast to coast over the past week.
Multi-divisional champ and future Hall of Famer Mayweather took the podium and declared “I am immortal. I have within me blood of kings. I have no rivals, and no man can be my equal.” Mayweather then drew a hidden scimitar and removed the head of a surprised Alvarez from his shoulders with one clean blow.
Holding his sword in the air, Mayweather shouted “There can be only ONE!” before faulty wiring in the building sent a storm of arcing electricity through Mayweather’s sword and into his body, covering everyone near him in a shower of sparks.
Mugging for the camera, Mayweather then winked at the cameras and said “I am the ONE. The Gathering is coming, and that fool should have known better. This ain’t holy ground!” before making good his escape. Mayweather was met in the parking lot by police, who failed to halt the fleeing boxing star, despite firing over one hundred bullets in his direction.
Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, was left non-plussed by the murderous turn of events, and could only mutter “no comment” when asked about the future of “THE ONE” boxing event.
