Pound for Pound & Welterweight Rankings Updated After Mayweather vs. Mosley Results

Floyd Mayweather Dominated Shane Mosley, What do the Pound for Pound Rankings and Welterweight Division Rankings Look Like?

With the official Mayweather vs. Mosley results coming in last night, we all saw Floyd Mayweather dominate Shane Mosley in impressive fashion, taking home a very wide unanimous decision. Mosley had Mayweather hurt in the second but wasn’t able to get his man out of there or do anything else in the bout. Following the bout, ProBoxing-Fans.com has updated our pound for pound rankings, in addition to our welterweight division rankings. Take a look here.

The pound for pound list has a lot of changes in it, reflecting more than just the Mayweather vs. Mosley results. The big question there is if Mayweather did enough to usurp Manny Pacquiao at the top of the list, and how far Mosley falls due to his loss.

There has been plenty more big action though, including Mikkel Kessler’s resurgence, Lucian Bute’s continued strong showings at super middleweight, Sergio Martinez’s huge win over Kelly Pavlik, Fernando Montiel’s win over Hozumi Hasegawa (see updated bantamweight division rankings here) and Tomasz Adamek’s win over Chris Arreola. All of these big fights have been taken account, and you can see how the new list looks by checking out the links above.

So take a look at the above rankings and let us know what you think? Does Floyd Mayweather deserve to be number 1? Is Manny Pacquiao still the top pound for pound fighter in the world?
