All participants for Star Boxing’s “Punchin at the Paradise” show Thursday at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, NY weighed in today at the NYS commission’s office. The show, which is the second of five scheduled at the Paradise Theater in 2011, will feature a number of exciting fights and prospects, both pro and amateur. Also scheduled to appear on the card, weighing in on Thursday, will be four amateur bouts, highlighted by the Bronx’s 13-year-old Boxing phenom Josue Vargas taking on Brandon Idrogo. Vargas is already a four-time metro, four-time jr. olympic, silver glove champion and is ranked #1 in the nation in his division. Idrogo, 12-years-old, is also a jr. olympic champion as well as the NYS champion for his division. Also fighting on the amateur portion of the card in separate bouts, are NYPD members, Jamal Spence and NY Golden Gloves Finalist Mark Sinatra.
