Qais Ashfaq aims to bounce back from a first professional career loss as he faces former Commonwealth champion Ashley Lane on the undercard to Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev.

“There’s loads of things you can learn from a loss. The main thing is to stay positive, it’s not the end of my career, there’s still a long way to go.

“I’m only 27-years-old and I still have world title ambitions.”

Ashfaq suffered a shock defeat to Marc Leach but not one to dwell on the past Qais steps up again straight back into a tough fight in front of the eyes of the world on Sky Sports Box Office.

“A lot of people after a first loss may not be able to fight again so early but I’m a strong minded man.

“Ash Lane is very tough. Not judging him by the start of his career because it was very rocky but his in last eight fights he has only lost one and that was for the British title.

“Ashley Lane is not someone you can take lightly.”
