According to a press release by Queensberry Promotions, British heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora (22-5/14 KOs) will no longer be working with them.
“Queensberry Promotions will no longer be promoting or working with Dereck Chisora”, was the short statement the promotional outfit made yesterday regarding the matter.
Chisora has fought twice this year, beating Beqa Lobjanidze (KO1) and Marcelo Luiz Nascimento (Pts10) on his comeback trail following a one-sided 10th round stoppage defeat to Tyson Fury last November.
Previously, Chisora had unsuccessfully challenged Vitali Klitschko for his alphabet world title. He also picked up decent wins over Malik Scott and Kevin Johnson, but has losses on his record coming against Robert Helenius, David Haye an Fury (twice).
As yet it is unclear as to the exact reason why Queensberry Promotions have ended their relationship with Chisora.
