There’s been a ton of action over the past few weeks – Mikey Garcia’s title-winning debut at 130 lbs against Roman Martinez, Nonito Donaire’s featherweight debut and rematch win over Vic Darchinyan, Demetrius Andrade’s strong showing against fellow contender Vanes Martirosyan to capture his first title, Giovani Segura’s thrilling victory over Hernan Marquez, Gennady Golovkin’s dominant effort against Curtis Stevens, and much more!
All of that means it’s rankings updates time, and we’ve gone ahead and updated the top 10s in a handful of divisions. Take a look.
- Updated flyweight division rankings
- Updated featherweight division rankings
- Updated super featherweight division rankings
- Updated junior middleweight division rankings
- Updated middleweight division rankings
- Updated light heavyweight division rankings
At flyweight, Giovani Segura established as one of the major players in the division on the strength of his win over Hernan Marquez.
At featherweight, Donaire made his debut, and picked up a win, but didn’t exactly appear to be his old self. One division up, and Mikey Garcia made a triumphant debut in his new division, picking up a title for his efforts and making himself known as one of the top guys there.
At middleweight, Golovkin continues to impress. Meanwhile, titleholder Peter Quillin didn’t impress many with his win over Gabriel Rosado, and at junior middleweight, Demetrius Andrade now has to be seen as one of the real threats in that division. Up to light heavyweight, and Bernard Hopkins just keeps winning and winning, age be damned.
Just a few of the notable results and fighters we’re addressing with our updated rankings, enjoy!
