Amanda ‘The Real Deal’ Serrano (28-1-1, 21 KOs), a multi-time champion across multiple weight divisions from Brooklyn, New York by way of Carolina, Puerto Rico defeated ranked #6 Edina Kiss (6-1, 3 KO’s) of Budapest, Hungary via TKO in the fourth round at the Coliseo Rubén Zayas in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.
The event was notable not only for Serrano, but for the fact that it was the first time in Puerto Rico boxing history that a professional boxing event on the island was headlined by women’s boxing.
As you can see from the photo at the top of this page, it was quite the setup and entrance for Serrano. She lived up to the occasion by taking care of the previously unbeaten, by hugely inexperienced by comparison, Kiss. Serrano-Kiss was a non-title bout set for 8 rounds at the featherweight division.
