Oleksandr Usyk won the WBO Cruiserweight title with a convincing unanimous decision over previously undefeated Krzysztof Glowacki in a bout from Gdsansk, Poland.
Usyk, a 2012 Olympic Gold Medal winner controlled the action of the entertaining affair. The native of Ukraine won by scores of 119-109 and 117-111 twice to raise his perfect mark to 10-0.
Glowacki, who was trying to make his 2nd defense is now 26-1. He was simply out-skilled by the talented amateur and Olympian, who despite a lack of much pro experience, comes from the highest of amateur pedigrees.
Apparently the company doing the streaming wasn’t exactly equipped to handle it. They sent out a promotional message prior to the fight, then got more than a bargained for on their service klowdtv.com, which apparently led to a serious of crashes during the bout. Whoops. Here’s what they officially had to say about it:
“Unexpected high demand challenged our streaming infrastructure, crashing the live stream multiple times. We apologize to KlowdTV boxing fans for the issues. We’ve arranged for AWE to show an encore presentation of this spectacular world title fight on Wednesday at 9 pm Eastern,” said Chris Schickedanz, Directing manager of www.klowdtv.com
