Richard Riakporhe produces a stunning second round knockout at the OVO Arena in Wembley.

The OVO Arena in Wembley saw top class action, and in the main event, Richard Riakporhe moved closer to a world title shot with a second round knockout of Fabio Turchi in their IBF cruiserweight title eliminator.

Riakporhe was going off an impressive win over Deion Jumah, and Turchi had mainly been campaigning in his homeland of Italy where he had picked up fringe titles..

After a first round that was shaded by the Italian, Riakporhe (15-0, KO11) detonated a superb body shot in the second round that crumpled Turchi (20-2, KO14), and he was in all sorts of trouble trying to beat the count, and his corner waved the towel in surrender to signal another dominant Riakporhe win.


Zak Chelli (12-1-1, KO6) became the new English super middleweight champion and won a Commonwealth title eliminator, with a composed and controlled points win over Germaine Brown (12-1, KO3). Scores of 98-93, 97-94 and 98-92 reflected the Fulham man’s dominance.

Chris Kongo (14-1, KO7) turned in a career best performance, as the welterweight overcame Sebastian Formella (23-3, KO11) on the cards over ten to win the vacant WBC Silver International Silver welterweight title. Kongo took the win by scores of 97-93, 97-94 and 98-92.

Olympic Gold Medallist Lauren Price (1-0, KO0) made her professional debut, and took al six rounds at welterweight against Valgerdur Gudstensdottir (5-3, KO1).

Viddal Riley (6-0, KO3) remained undefeated, taking less than a minute to dispatch of Jone Valau (5-8, KO2) in their cruiserweight encounter set for six.


Ebonie Jones (2-0-1, KO0) drew last time out, but the featherweight took every round of six against the always value for money Bec Connolly (3-14, KO0).

At heavyweight, Jeamie Tshikeva (2-0, KO1) needed less than a round to halt Jake Darnell (1-6, KO0), and Shannon Ryan (2-0, KO0) took all four rounds at super flyweight against Gemma Ruegg (3-4, KO0)Jimmy Lee (2-0, KO1) dropped Ricky Starkey (2-25-2, KO0) on the way to a third round victory at super featherweight.
