Tomorrow night in Glasgow, Scotland, Ricky Burns will square off against Paulus Moses for the interim WBO lightweight title. For Burns, it’s just his second fight at the lightweight limit, as he is coming off a unanimous decision win over Michael Katsidis at the end of last year in his debut at 135 lbs. Meanwhile, Moses has only lost once in his career, a stoppage defeat to Miguel Acosta. This afternoon, the Burns vs. Moses weigh-ins were held, and you can view their weights right here.
- Ricky Burns: 133 lbs (9 stone, 7 lbs)
- Paulus Moses:134 lbs (9 stone, 8 lbs)
ProBoxing-Fans.com correspondent Ciaran Shanks was on hand for the weigh-in.
So who will come out ahead in this intriguing clash? It’s not getting a lot of play stateside, but this is an important bout in the lightweight division, and a solid match-up with two fighters ready to make a run for some belts and be in the mix for even bigger fights. The winner will be in a good place and perhaps breach the top 5 of the lightweight division rankings.
