Robert Guerrero Busy Around Town this Past Weekend; Hopes to Return March 2012

This past weekend five-time world champion, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, was busy making his away around Los Angeles.

On Friday, Guerrero walked the red carpet at Robert Downey Jr.’s American Cinematheque Award ceremony.  “It was a fun night,” said Guerrero. “Mel Gibson, Jennifer Aniston, Jodie Foster were all in attendance. Everyone there was really nice and it was nice to walk the red carpet.”

In addition, Robert went to visit former trainer John Bray and got a tour of the All-American Heavyweights facility while meeting CEO Michael King.  “This facility is incredible,” Guerrero went on to say. “What they are doing here is very impressive.  Their goal is to build the next heavyweight champion and they are on a good pace.”

Saturday, “The Ghost” attended the Bernard Hopkins vs. Chad Dawson fight at the Staples Center and took photos with some friends that were in attendance.

More importantly than all of that though is the fact that Guerrero now hopes to be back in the boxing ring by or about March 2012. That’s big news, considering he had a serious injury requiring surgery, and it could have potentially been career threatening. Guerrero missed out on what would have been the biggest fight of his career, a match against Marcos Maidana, and now will have to hope to get another big date scheduled once he’s back by spring of next year.
