Bobby Hitz announced today that Hitz Boxing has signed light heavyweight Ryan “The Irish Outlaw” Coyne (21-2, 9 KOs) of St. Louis to a promotional contract.
“Adding Ryan to our already stacked roster of fighters gives the Hitz stable another dangerous big man to go along with Fres Oquendo and Andrey Fedosov,” said Hitz. “”He is a perfect addition to our team.”
Coyne, who has previously held the WBC US cruiserweight as well as the WBA Fedelatin cruiserweight titles expressed his excitement in joining the Hitz Boxing team.
“Bobby is a boxer’s promoter, who goes the distance for his fighters,” said Coyne. “I know I am with a great organization.”
Coyne long held an undefeated record but hadn’t stepped up the ladder. He has lost his last two fights, being stopped by the unbeaten Marcus Oliveira and then being handled by the streaking Lionell Thompson. He’ll need to get back in there and rebuild a bit, staying busy and moving up against solid competition.
