Undefeated Colombian knockout artist Santander “Cha Cha” Silgado (23-0, 18 KOs), promoted by Havoc Boxing Promotions, challenges World Boxing Association (WBA) cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (24-1, 18 KOs) this Monday (Dec. 17) in Russia. Silgado has been in Moscow for about a week, and he held a training session as he winds down final preparations for the big fight.
Here is a picture gallery from a Silgado workout in Moscow:
This is a huge opportunity for the undefeated Silgado, who’s largely unknown, even in the United States. But he’s a legit power puncher that can end fights at anytime, and he’ll likely need to do just that in hostile territory, Lebedev’s backyard of Moscow. He certainly seems fit and focused though as the fight approaches.
Does he have what it takes to pull off the upset? We’ll see in a few days, as Silgado attempts to come back to the states with a title strap in the division around his waist.
