WBA Interim Super Bantamweight champion Guillermo ‘El Chacal’ Rigondeaux (8-0, 6 KOs), arguably the greatest amateur boxer of all time, retained his world title March 19 by beating previously undefeated hometown favorite and former European champion, Willie ‘Big Bang” Casey (11-0, 7 KOs), in Dublin. While it was easy to see that Rigondeaux was by far the more skilled fighter in the contest against Willie Casey, a 1 round blowout look he had is always impressive. The Jackal now is in great place in the super bantamweight division to land a major fight against one of the other big names, and there’s no telling the damage he can do if he combines his skill with the level of passion and aggression he showed against Casey.
