Amanda Serrano defends her WBA, IBF and WBO featherweight world titles over twelve rounds this Friday evening at Caribe Royale Orlando, Florida against Argentina-based Brazilian, Danila Ramos.
DAZN televise Serrano vs Ramos live.
Serrano (45-2-1, 30 KOs) is a pound-for-pound star of the women’s side of the sport, having won world titles in multiple weight classes, and she attempts to break the mould once more this weekend.
‘The Real Deal’ has mainly been based at featherweight since 2019, and after moving up to lightweight in April 2022, losing a razor-thin split decision to Katie Taylor, she dropped back down and cleaned out the featherweight division, adding the final piece of the puzzle, the WBA strap, to the collection with a wide points win against Erika Cruz Hernandez in February.
A routine points defence against Heather Hardy followed for the Puerto Rican, and now comes this twelve-rounder, where only three sanctioning bodies have agreed to the usual male championship distance.
Ramos (12-2, 1 KOs) earns her shot at glory as a result of serving as WBO interim champion. She won that title in August, shading a split decision against Brenda Karen Carabajal in Argentina.
Prediction: This is a step into the unknown for female boxing, but Serrano is a star, and I expect her to wear Ramos down and bank a stoppage win somewhere before halfway.
Lescaille clashes with Barlow in chief support
Damian Lescaille (5-0, 3 KOs) is a welterweight hope from Cuba, and he should have too much for Ray Barlow (7-3, 4 KOs), who has been stopped twice in his three defeats.
Prediction: Lescaille should have enough to get the stoppage.
Other undercard attractions
Bantamweight talent Antonio Vargas (16-1, 9 KOs) is scheduled to appear in a ten round contest.
Euri Cedeno (6-0, 6 KOs) should blast out Dayan Depestre (1-0, 1 KOs) early on in their middleweight meeting, while at super middleweight, Angel Chavez (8-0, 7 KOs) can also win early against Sladan Janjanin (37-16, 26 KOs).
On the undercard of Serrano vs. Ramos on Friday, Oct. 27th, we have another exciting matchup between two young prospects Damazion Vanhouter (4-0, 3 KOs) and Nafys Anas (4-0, 3 KOs).

Light heavyweight prospect Damazion Vanhouter (4-0, 3 KOs) can get the better of Nafys Anas (4-0, 3 KOs) on the cards, and at lightweight, Alexander Rios Vega (7-0, 3 KOs) can do the same in the battle of unbeatens against Benigno Aguilar (10-0, 4KOs).
In four round action, Krystal Rosado-Ortiz (1-0, 1KO) can take a points win against Kata Pap (1-0, 1KO).
