California fight fans were treated to another night of explosive boxing action with a six-fight card presented by Golden Boy Promotions from the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. The headline bout of the evening was of course the return of Antonio Diaz to his stomping grounds. He met Ernesto Zepeda, and was able to outclass his opponent, finishing him in the 8th round by KO.
In next week’s edition of “Sólo Boxeo Tecate,” Golden Boy Promotions and Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing will team up to present the latest installment of the “Punchin at the Paradise” fight series. Headlining the event will be Newark’s fast-rising Puerto Rican prospect Michael “The Artist” Perez (13-0-1, 7 KO’s) squaring off against New York’s Miguel Rodriguez (7-3, 3 KO’s) in a ten round lightweight match-up. Also featured will be undefeated Bronx prospect Eddie Gomez (5-0, 4 KO’s) who will see action in a six round junior middleweight bout against Marcus Hall (5-3-1, 2 KO’s) of Rochester, New York in the co-main event.
