IBF Welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr is in a ‘serious’ condition in hospital after being involved in a car crash earlier this morning.
The American star was reportedly driving in a white Ferrari at the time of the crash in Dallas, although is expected to survive the incident.
The Ferrari “flipped multiple times” hurling Spence Jr out of the car before he was rushed to hospital.
A Dallas Police statement said: “At 2:53am a Ferrari traveling at a high rate of speed northbound in the 500 S. Riverfront Blvd.
“The Ferrari veered left over the center median onto the southbound lanes and flipped multiple times ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seatbelt.”
Spence Jr, is unbeaten as a professional racking up 26 straight victories with 21 knockouts.
The New York-born puncher, who now resides in Dallas, secured the WBC Welterweight title with a split decision win over Shawn Porter just 12 days ago, in a fight-of-the-year contender.
