All of the lower classes rankings now updated with the latest news and results
Here in the United States, fans don’t pay much attention to the lower weight classes, and if you’re a fighter plying your trade at sub-bantamweight levels, you’re not very likely to get much exposure save for a few big names that have managed to break through. In recent years, that has been the like of Vic Darchinyan and Jorge Arce, the guys they have faced and the ones that have beaten them. Most know that undefeated Ivan Calderon has ruled over 105 lbs and now 108 lbs, but details beyond that are sparse and hard to come by.
Well, don’t consider that a problem any longer! Take a few minutes out of your day to read up on all of the lower weight classes so you can see who the big names are and where they stand. While nobody here has paid much mind to Flyweight since Darchinyan and Nonito Donaire moved up, in Japan and Asia it’s one of the fiercest, most competitive and most exciting divisions around. Similarly, the Junior Flyweight division has seen a storm of action over the past year or two, with belts changing hands and all of the big (little) names battling out. So here are the updated boxing weight division rankings for the four lightest weight classes.
- Super Flyweight Rankings (115 lbs)
- Flyweight Rankings (112 lbs)
- Junior Flyweight Rankings (108 lbs)
- Strawweight Rankings (105 lbs)
As mentioned, all are now fully up to date with the latest boxing news, fight results and more, and there has been plenty of action over the past few months. So read up and then school your buddy who claims he’s a real fan but couldn’t say what’s what between Omar Narvaez and Omar Romero!
