Top talents Tom Stalker and Jack Catterall will clash in an exciting battle of unbeaten fighters on the big Echo Arena show in Liverpool on Saturday October 25th.
The addition of another thrilling contest adds even more intrigue to the card headlined by Paul Butler’s history making IBF World Super-Flyweight title challenge against Champion Zolani Tete.
Liverpool stars Liam Smith, Derry Matthews and Kevin Satchell all feature in Championship title action, plus Blackpool’s Matty Askin collides with Ovill McKenzie.
Stalker, captain of the record-breaking London 2012 Team GB squad and a highly decorated amateur, is currently undefeated in nine fights with two stoppages in the pros.
The Liverpool ace, 30, is promising a spectacle for the fans and says he’ll come out on top.
“This will be a fantastic fight for the fans and I can promise it’s going to be cracker. I’ve got great respect for him, he knows me and I know him through plenty of sparring with each other. He’ll think he’s got the edge on me and I believe I’ll have the edge on him, we’ll both have our own game plans and the better man is going to win on the night. I know it will be me.” Said Stalker.
Chorley’s Catterall, 21, is also undefeated in nine, but with five stoppages, he comes into the fight as the bigger puncher.
He claimed the scalp of Liverpool’s unbeaten Nathan Brough in his last fight, stopping him in the second round with a dynamite left hand, but says he can add Stalker to the list.
Catterall said, “It’s a big fight between the two of us, we know each other well, but this is business. I believe I’ve got what it takes to beat him after countless spars, but we’re not sparring now, this is about our future and careers and I’m going to put everything on the line to be beat him.”
