After talks between their two teams initially broke down, Timothy Bradley (32-1-1, 12 KOs) and Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 23 KOs) are finally set to fight each other on November 7 at the Thomas and Mack center in Las Vegas.
The fight will see Bradley defend the alphabet welterweight title, although that may be scuppered as he is also scheduled to make a mandatory defence against Saddam Ali. Should Ali step aside, Rios will get a shot at Bradley’s title.
Both Bradley and Rios have been involved in Fight of the Year contenders in recent years and their meeting should provide plenty of actions regardless of any alphabet belts on the line.
They will headline the bill, which is set to be broadcast on HBO and will also feature top class Ukrainian featherweight, Vasyl Lomachenko (4-1, 2 KOs), on the undercard.
