The Palm Springs Walk of Stars will honor former two-division world champion professional boxer, humanitarian and Coachella Valley resident, Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley Jr., with the 377th Golden Palm Star on The Palm Springs Walk of Stars during a star dedication ceremony this Saturday, December 6, at noon PT.

Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs), is in training for his ring return, a 12-round welterweight battle against Diego  “La Joya” Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs), of Buenos Aires, which will take place on Saturday, December 13 inside The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The fight will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing®, beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Trained by former title contender Joel Díaz, Bradley holds notable victories over Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Márquez, Devon Alexander, Ruslan Provodnikov and Junior Witter. He is currently rated No. 5 on The Ring’s Pound for Pound list.

Born in Palm Springs, Calif., Bradley grew up in nearby Cathedral City, and went to Cathedral City High School. He helped start Cathedral City Junior All American Football and Cheer League for the youth where he was formerly the president as well as a coach. Prior to becoming a professional boxer, Bradley worked as a dishwasher and as a waiter. He married his high school friend, Monica Manzo in 2010. Bradley has spent countless hours volunteering as a youth mentor at the local Coachella Valley Boys & Girls Club and is an assistant coach for the All American Junior Pee-Wee Youth Football Association. The Coachella Valley congratulates Bradley for his accomplishments and his dedication to public service.

“We are very proud to honor Timothy Bradley Jr. with a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars” said Bob Alexander, President of the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
