Former two-division world champion Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley Jr, Mauricio “El Maestro” Herrera and undefeated contender Jose Benavidez Jr. will host a Los Angeles, along with their trainers and teams, Bob Arum and Todd duBoef of Top Rank, and Eric Gomez, Senior Vice President of Golden Boy Promotions.
The three fighters will be discussing their upcoming fights, which will headline an exciting boxing event, Saturday, December 13, in The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs), of Palm Springs, Calif., will be making his ring comeback against one-time interim world champion Diego “La Joya” Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs), of Buenos Aires, in a 12-round welterweight rumble.
Herrera (21-4, 7 KOs), of Riverside, Calif., will be making his first title defense, against Benavidez (21-0, 15 KOs), of Phoenix, AZ. Promoted by Top Rank®, in association with Golden Boy Promotions and Tecate, both fights will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing®, beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Bradley vs. Chaves is certainly a very important fight in the careers of both men, as they look to get into the hunt at 147 lbs. In the co-feature, Benavidez is looking to break out in the spotlight for the first time, but the always-tough Herrera is never an easy out.
Stay tuned for more updates after the initial presser is held for Herrera vs. Benavidez and Bradley vs. Chaves.
