Jersey City resident and current IBF North American Heavyweight Champion, Tomasz “Goral” Adamek and his trainer, Roger Bloodworth held a workout and Meet and Greet for Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop and a contingency of children from Jersey City Recreation Boxing this past weekend at World Boxing Gym in Jersey City.
To the delight of the 40+ children who attended, Mayor Fulop surprised Adamek by donning a pair of boxing gloves and going a round with the former cruiserweight and light heavyweight champion. The light-hearted sparring session was followed by an exhibition of pad work by Adamek and Bloodwork, a photo session and a raffle for the kids.
