Richard Torrez Jr takes on Guido Vianello in a heavyweight clash over a scheduled 10 rounds at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas this Saturday.
Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc. promote Torrez Jr vs Vianello, and Sky Sports televise live in the UK, with the bout live on ESPN in the USA.
2020 Olympic Silver medallist, Torrez Jr (12-0, 11 KOs) has made a near-perfect start to life as a professional, with the only boxer to take him near the distance being Curtis Harper, who was stopped in the eighth and final round in December 2023.
The Californian heavyweight hope banked four early wins in 2024, with the only victory to blemish his record a fifth-round disqualification over Joey Dawejko, who was thrown out for repeatedly spitting his mouthpiece out.
The 25-year-old was last out in December, stopping Isaac Munoz Gutierrez in three rounds.

Next comes Vegas-based Italian, Vianello (13-2-1, 11 KOs), who has lost two of his last five contests.
March 2024 saw him push Efe Ajagba all the way before losing a split decision over 10 rounds, but he is coming off a win, travelling to Canada to upset Arslanbek Makhmudov in an eighth round stoppage win last August.
Prediction: Torrez Jr can bang, and although Vianello has stood up to the likes of Ajagba and Makhmudov, I think Torrez Jr will have too much, and can halt Vianello in the first half of this bout.

Delgado battles Rodriguez
On the undercard, Lindolfo Delgado has done all that has been asked of him so far, and the super lightweight takes on Elvis Rodriguez over a scheduled 10 rounds.
Delgado (22-0, 16 KOs) is coming off a fifth round stoppage of Jackson Marinez, while Rodriguez (17-1-1, 13 KOs) outscored Kendo Castaneda in his last outing.
Prediction: Delgado is a real talent, and he can bank another win with a clear points success in this one.

Mason meets Ornelas
In other ten round contests, Abdullah Mason (17-0, 15 KOs) should be able to take out Carlos Ornelas (28-4, 15 KOs) inside schedule at lightweight, with the Mexican halted three times in four defeats.
Remaining Undercard
Jahi Tucker (13-1-1, 6 KOs) gets a decent test at middleweight, but he should have enough to take a points win against former British champion Troy Williamson (20-3-1, 14 KOs), who has lost three of his last four.
In eight rounders, Albert Gonzalez (12-0, 7 KOs) should win his featherweight meeting with Dana Coolwell (13-3, 8 KOs) on the cards, while at super flyweight, Steven Navarro (5-0, 4 KOs) can score a stoppage win against Juan Esteban Garcia (14-1-2, 11 KOs).

Super featherweight prospect, Demler Zamora (15-0, 10 KOs) can win on points against Mexico’s Hugo Alberto Castaneda Marroquin (15-1-1, 11 KOs).
The only six rounder is at welterweight, where Art Barrera Jr (7-0, 5 KOs) can take the early route to defeat Daijohn Gonzalez (12-5, 6 KOs), and in the sole four rounder, Samuel Contreras can debut with a points win over Robert Jiminez (2-2-1, 1 KO) at super lightweight.
