Tyson Fury is set to face Agit Kabayel on December 5 in London, if he agrees to the contract terms, his co-promoter Frank Warren has confirmed to talkSPORT.
The WBC world heavyweight champion saw a contracted third fight with Deontay Wilder fall through, following his stunning seventh round stoppage victory in Las Vegas in February.
According to Fury’s American promoter, Bob Arum, Wilder’s team missed the allocated time frame to agree to a trilogy and Fury pressed for a UK homecoming.
Carlos Takam, Oscar Rivas and Otto Wallin were all reportedly under consideration, but former European champion, Kabayel has been chosen and been given 24 hours to agree to a contract for the fight which will take place at the Royal Albert Hall.
“Tyson’s fighting on December 5,” Warren told talkSPORT.
“We’re giving the guy we wanna fight, which is Kabayel, we’re giving him 24 hours now to sign the contract or we’re gonna move on.

“That’s who’s sitting at the moment on a contract and we’re waiting.
“He’s got about 24 hours now to make his mind up to sign it and send it back or we’ll move on.
“He’s the fight, subject to the contract being signed.”
The unbeaten German, a former sparring partner of unified world champion, Anthony Joshua, made three defences of his European crown, including a comfortable victory over Derek Chisora in Monaco in 2017 and most recently claimed a unanimous decision win over Evgenios Lazaridis in July.
Victory for Fury would set up a unification with Joshua, who holds the IBF, WBA ‘Super’ & WBO belts, but must first overcome Kubrat Pulev on December 12.
The pair have a two-fight deal in place for 2021, although Oleksandr Usyk remains Joshua’s WBO mandatory challenger, following his win over Derek Chisora on Saturday.
Should Kabayel not agree to the terms of the contract, Canada’s Simon Kean and Australia’s Dempsey McKean are reportedly on standby.
