Exciting Rainham Light-Heavyweight prospect Charlie Duffield is delighted to have signed a three year promotional deal with Frank Warren. Undefeated Duffield, 3-0 3 KO’s, goes in search of another explosive win on his BoxNation debut at the home of boxing York Hall on June 10.
The former ABA finalist, managed by Peter Sims and trained by Jamie Williams at Dagenham’s Legend’s Gym, has slammed his way to three knockout wins in his first three professional outings and is hoping to move his career on to the next level under Hall of Fame Promoter Warren.
“I’m thrilled to have signed a promotional deal with Frank and can’t wait to make my BoxNation debut at York Hall. I’ve been working on new things in the gym with my trainer and my strength and conditioning coach and I’m looking to impress. I’ve already got the power so we’ve been working on my footwork and movement,” said Duffield.
He added: “I never go looking for knockouts but I’ve got massive punching power so anyone I catch is going to get hurt. If I get another knockout win on June 10 then happy days but if not I’ll just be happy with another win. As always it’s going to be a cracker. My fans are amazing and make a lot of noise!”
Big-hitting Duffield made his professional debut at York Hall last October where he stopped Brighton’s Iain Jackson inside three rounds. Following his impressive debut, Duffield made short work of Surrey’s Richard Harrison before making it three knockout wins from three fights against Bulgaria’s Merdjidin Yuseinov earlier this month. West Ham ABC product Duffield believes he has the skill and dedication to take him to the very top of the Light-Heavyweight division.
He said: “I’m looking to go all the way. Everything is a learning curve for me at the moment. I’m constantly learning new things in the gym so for now it’s all about progression and bettering myself in every fight. I’ve got faith in myself that I can go all the way as long as I stay dedicated and put the hard work in.”
Warren said: “We’re really excited to have Charlie on-board with us and to be working with Peter Sims and his other boxers. As we’ve seen from his first three fights he’s got raw power and a big punch on him. He has a strong amateur pedigree and possesses the right mind-frame to take him far in this sport.”
