Danish lightweight Rashid ‘The Dream’ Kassem (10-0, 7 KOs) has signed a new long-term contract with Team Sauerland and will be back in action at the Nordic Fight Night on March 19 at the Albertslund MusikTeatret in Copenhagen.

‘’I’m very happy to have signed a new deal with Team Sauerland,’’ said the 24 year-old from Copenhagen. ‘’I want to be the best and to do that I need the best team around me. Team Sauerland are the best promoters out there, and with their help, I know I can become World Champion.’’

Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: ‘’We’re delighted to continue our work with Rashid. He is one of the most exciting fighters in Danish boxing. If he continues to work hard and climb the rankings, it will only be a matter of time before he is challenging for titles.’’

‘’We’re pleased to have signed a new deal with Team Sauerland,’’ said Kassem’s manager Simon Lundt. ‘’As a fighter, it’s important to have the right team around you, and with Team Sauerland, I know Rashid will have every opportunity to realise his potential.’’

Kassem will be fighting on the undercard of Micki Nielsen’s WBC International Cruiserweight title defence against former World title challenger Mirko Larghetti, and is eager to impress as he aims to secure his eleventh professional victory.

‘’I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring,’’ he said. ‘’I have good memories from fighting in Albertslund, and I want to entertain the fans with another good performance on March 19. I’m training harder than ever, and I’ll be ready for any opponent.’’
