Noel Gevor (19-0, 10 KOs) can start the New Year on a high when he takes on Valery Brudov (42-6, 28 KOs) on January 9 at the Baden-Arena in Offenburg, Germany.
The highly rated German talent is confident he can prove he is ready for the big-time by beating the experienced two-time World title challenger from Russia.
‘’Brudov is just another hurdle for me on the way to the top,’’ says the 25 year-old from Hamburg, who claimed the WBO Intercontinental title with a unanimous points victory over Daniel Alejandro Sanabria in his last outing.
‘’If you look at his record, you could say that he is my toughest opponent to date, and on paper, it would certainly seem that way. Although, fights aren’t won on paper, they are won in the ring, and we will see how tough Brudov really is on January 9.
‘’His biggest advantage is his experience. He has already contested more than twice as many fights as me. All of his losses have come against either former or current European and World Champions, and he has held the interim World title.
‘’However, I’m the faster and more explosive fighter. I have shown in my previous fights that I can decide the outcome with a single blow or by outboxing my opponent over the distance. I believe my time has come, and on January 9, by beating Brudov, I will show that I’m ready for bigger and better challenges!”
