Oleksandr Usyk is seemingly deciding between two options for his next bout.
Usyk, the unified WBO, WBA ‘super’ and WBC heavyweight champion has been ordered to defend his WBO crown against interim titlist, Joseph Parker.
However, the 38-year-old remains keen to regain the IBF title by facing Daniel Dubois in a rematch, whom he stopped in nine rounds in August 2023.
And ‘The Cat’ is hopeful that Saudi Arabian boxing chief, Turki Alalshikh can arrange the bout.
“WBO told us that I should defend this title [against Parker],” Usyk told Al Arabiya English.

“But now our aim and the goal of the team is to unite our belts [against] Daniel Dubois.
“We want to fight Dubois.
“My team is ready.
“A lot depends on how god will give us a way to do it.

“And the second [thing] is the person who can do it.
“It’s His Excellency Turki Alalshikh.
“He’s the person who can organise this fight, because I think there would be obstacles otherwise.”

The Ukrainian star became undisputed champion last May by defeating Tyson Fury, but relinquished the belt in order to secure a rematch with ‘The Gypsy King’.
Dubois was elevated from interim titlist to full champion soon afterwards and made a first defence of his crown with a fifth round knockout of Anthony Joshua in September.

The 27-year-old was set to make a second defence against Parker in February, but withdrew on fight week through illness.
Usyk, who overcame Fury in their rematch in December, previously stated that he has two fights remaining in his decorated professional career and has not changed his stance.

“I don’t know who my opponents are going to be,”
“But yes, I have two fights to go in my unbelievable journey.”
