Golden Boy Promotions in association with Promociones Miguel Cotto and H2 Entertainment returned to Cataño, Puerto Rico tonight for “Electrizante,” a nine-fight event at the Coliseo Cosme Beitia Salamo. The two big names on the card were unbeaten prospects Jayson Velez and Eddie Gomez. Both of those fighters kept on their winning ways. Gomez had an early evening, winning by 1st round KO, while Velez had to put in his work, earning a 10 round unanimous decision.
Next week’s “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” broadcast will feature a 10 round junior featherweight fight between promising contender Christopher Martin (22-0-2, 6 KO’s) of San Diego and Mexico’s Jose Silveira (12-3, 4 KO’s) in the main event and in the co-feature, Ohio’s Mark Salser (12-0, 9 KO’s) faces Mexico’s Rodolfo Armenta (10-4-1, 8 KO’s) in a six round lightweight fight. The doubleheader will take place at the Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona and the TeleFutura broadcast begins at 11:30 pm ET/PT (10:30pm CT).
