On Saturday night, Northern California fight fans enjoyed an exciting night of world class professional boxing at the Woodland Community Center in Woodland, California presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Don Chargin Productions in association with Paco Presents. The big name on the card was of course former US Olympian Vicente Escobedo. Escobedo continued his winning ways by scoring a solid Unanimous Decision, and he’ll be looking to stay busy and continue taking on more high caliber opponents as he works himself back towards title contention.
Golden Boy Promotions’ next “Sólo Boxeo Tecate” takes place on Saturday, June 2 when top junior lightweight prospect Andrew “Chango” Cancio takes on former world title challenger and 2000 Olympic Silver Medalist Rocky Juarez in a 10-round fight from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.
