On November 6 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Robert Waterman’s Knockout Entertainment and Florida-based Warriors Boxing and MMA athletes provided by Dave O’Donnell’s Ultimate Challenge MMA will present “Let’s Get Ready to Rock!” a night of world-class professional boxing and mixed martial arts at this luxurious resort set in the middle of paradise. Boxer Victor Cayo will be headlining the event, among other prominent Dominican fighters.

The boxing main event will feature an eight-round super lightweight clash between two Dominican Republic residents as Former World Title Challenger Víctor “Mermelada” Cayo (29-2, 18 KOs) of Santo Domingo faces Santiago de los Caballeros’ Nelson Sanchez (7-2, 3 KOs).
Blessed with very fast hands and a ton of heart, the IBF #8 rated Cayo will be making his first ring appearance since his thrilling ESPN2-televised war against fellow top contender Lamont Peterson and is looking forward to put on a great show for the fans in his homeland.
Sanchez will have a formidable task in front of him, as Cayo’s only losses have come against the world’s best.
The boxing co-main event will feature an intriguing six-round featherweight match-up between Santo Domingo, undefeated Jenifel Vicente (21-0-2, 14 KOs) and Reading, Pennsylvania’s Lucian Gonzalez (9-6-1,1 KO).
Since fighting to a draw in two of his first three professional fights Vicente has been one of the hottest prospects in boxing, having scored knockouts in six of his last seven victories.
Also fighting on the boxing part of the card will be WBC Youth Intercontinental Featherweight Champion Javier “El Abejon” Fortuna (16-0, 12 KOs) of La Romana, Dominican Republic. Fortuna is a former amateur Pan American silver medalist and two-time Independence Cup gold medalist who has been tearing up the professional ranks in impressive fashion. His last four victims were against opponents with a combined 37-5 record, and he scored knockouts over three of them. He will face Panamanian Leopoldo “El Tiburon” Arrocha (10-16-2, 4KO`s) in a six-round featherweight battle.
In a four-round lightweight attraction knockout artist Jorge “Catano” Maysonet Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) vs. TBA. 20-year-old Maysonet is a former member of the Puerto Rican National Boxing Team and was a highly decorated amateur. He is the son of former world title challenger Jorge Luis Maysonet.
