Super flyweight prospect, Alfie Clegg believes he has the skillset to go all the way, following a successful professional debut.
Clegg (1-0) scored a knockdown on route to an impressive points victory against Alejandro Torres on his first outing in Tolworth last Saturday night, on a show promoted by Dean Whyte’s BLVCK Global.
The 22-year-old used his elusive movement to frustrate the Spaniard and caused further problems through his ability to switch between stances comfortably.
“I enjoyed every moment of it,” Clegg told proboxing-fans.com.
“I danced, I done my thing and I told you, classy Clegg, it’s going to be a name to remember.
“I like switch hitting, I like dancing. I’m not boring, I like mixing it up, I like looking good, entertaining.
“A lot of boxers come out and do the same thing, but that’s not me.”
The Guilford man was introduced to the sport by his father after getting into trouble at school and went on to amass 20 amateur fights.

“British title is the first thing we’re coming for, that’s a dream of mine.
“I love [to watch] a lot of boxers. I like [Vasiliy] Lomachenko, I like [Teofimo] Lopez, I like [George] Kambosos.
“I try to take everything into one, not follow one boxer and one style, mix it up.
“As you saw, southpaw, orthodox, stand in there, [with my] hands down, enjoying it, enjoying every moment.
“It’s just another day in the office and that’s my first step to greatness, I’m on the path.”
