HBO Boxing is back with Harold Lederman and the Hey Harold video series. This time, the unofficial ringside scorer is talking about Gennady Golovkin vs. Martin Murray and offering his thoughts on the bout. Take a look.
Golovkin is one of Lederman’s favorite fighters right now. And well, Golovkin is one of every fight fan’s favorite fighters right now so that makes sense. He entertains and he dominates, and he seems as nice as could be at the same time.
He saw Murray take on Sergio Martinez in Argentina. He was impressed, calling him tough and noting he gave Martinez fits. But he says he got tired in the last two rounds whereas Martinez turned it on, and so he lost the decision. Lederman says he’s a good fighter and could come with a decision against a guy nobody wants to fight.
He also says that Golovkin must be taking this fight seriously, because if you don’t take Murray seriously, you’ll lose. He’s anticipating an exciting fight and looking forward to good action with Golovkin vs. Murray.
