The roster of fighters appearing on HBO Boxing in 2015 included attractions: Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Gennady Golovkin, Sergey Kovalev, Miguel Cotto, Terence Crawford, Timothy Bradley Jr., Wladimir Klitschko, Vasyl Lomachenko, Brandon Rios and Nicholas Walters. Plus newcomers Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez and Felix Verdejo.
Overall, 2015 HBO World Championship Boxing main events in prime time are up 10% in viewership vs. 2014. The top 3 HBO fights in terms of live viewership on the channel all performed last year’s highest rated premium cable fight, which was the rematch between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Bryan Vera.
1 World Championship Boxing 5/9/15 CANELO VS. KIRKLAND – 2,146 million viewers
2 World Championship Boxing: 4/25/15 KLITSCHKO VS. JENNINGS – 1,637 million viewers
3 World Championship Boxing: 6/6/15 COTTO VS. GEALE – 1,589 million viewers
