On May 30, just five days away, Anthony Joshua, will have the big bout everyone has been talking about, his fight with Kevin Johnson at the O2. It’s a major step up for Joshua, but one he seems well prepared to be making. Right here, you’ll find two separate video interviews with Joshua discussing the fight, his preparation, and his overall fitness plan.
In the first video, above, Joshua discusses his preparation for his impending fight with Johnson:
Topics include being in training camp with Johnson, going from novice to professional, not being fearful of the Kingpin, different boxing styles and his techniques and the hardest punch that caught him out
The second is from a press conference held by Clinova, manufacturer of O.R.S Hydration Tablets. Anthony discusses:
importance of hydration throughout the day when being physically active, how he winds down after a fight (“There’s no time to relax”), how he wants to help people and give back to the community
Anthony has recently been announced as the new brand ambassador for O.R.S® Hydration Tablets.
“We are really excited and proud that O.R.SHydration Tablets are now the Official Hydration Partner for such a big name in UK boxing,” exclaims Charles Ebubedike, the CEO of Clinova.
“Working with an elite athlete like Anthony is a real torture test for any product, and we can confidently say that O.R.S Hydration Tablets will optimise his fluid intake both before, during and post match,” says Yasmin Badiani, a practicing sports physiotherapist and Head of O.R.S Sport. She continues: “Staying hydrated is critical for any sportsperson, as even low levels of dehydration can result in a loss of both mental and physical performance.”
Anthony has been using O.R.S Hydration Tablets for the last few months at the recommendation of his coach, Tony Simms. “Hydration is not only important in terms of performance and keeping muscles working smoothly, it also plays a role when it comes to healing,” explains Yasmin. “Maintaining hydration levels with a product like O.R.S Hydration Tablets minimises the incidence of sprains and strains – and keeping Anthony fit and injury-free is a key priority in the weeks leading up to the fight with Kevin Johnson at the end of the month.’”
