Floyd Mayweather is used to people calling him out. It comes with the territory. Lots of fighters want that payday.
The latest to very vocally join the club is Keith “One Time” Thurman. Thurman fights this weekend on Showtime, and he’s looking to make a statement and immediately propel himself into the conversation as a potential opponent for Mayweather’s next fight. Watch this video to see what Thurman had to say.
That’s right baby… Floyd is supposed to be “TBE”, and I want to fight the best. I want to fight the man. It aint like Floyd is gonna knock me out, when has Floyd knocked anybody out in the past several years? Huh?
So, if anybody should be scared, it should be him… I’m looking forward to destroying Mr. Floyd “Money” Mayweather…. this is my personal motto, “burn money”. In 2015, we’re getting ready to burn money.
Thurman also hedges his bets a bit, saying that it could be a learning experience for his career. Perhaps he already has a bit of doubt in the back of his mind about whether or not he’d actually win, or whether he’d simply just not get hurt and get paid big in the process. We’ll see.
