The Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana II press tour kicked off on Monday at Times Square in New York City. Right here, you’ll find a video of all of the highlights, including plenty of interesting comments from Mayweather himself.
Mayweather compares himself to the Germany football team beating Argentina in the World Cup Final, and pokes fun at Maidana and Garcia by saying he was a champion when your trainer was still a champion, and I’m still here almost 20 years later. The crowd was enthusiastic, with chants of ole and Chino, alternating with support for Mayweather with chants of “TBE”, for the best ever, and Mayweather’s famous training camp credo, “Hard Work, Dedication.”
You’ll also hear from Leonard Ellerbe, Maidana’s trainer Robert Garcia, and Maidana himself.
The Mayweather vs. Maidana Washington, D.C. press conference got delayed by half an evening due to weather delaying Mayweather’s flight, which certainly left a lot of unhappy folks in the D.C. area who turned out early and then either left without seeing anything, or had to stick around for hours and hours until the press conference actually got underway.
Tickets for Mayweather vs. Maidana II are now on sale.
