The Miguel Cotto vs. Daniel Geale clash is coming up, in just a few short weeks, on June 6th. Cotto heads back to New York, but this time, fights in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center, as he seeks to make the first defense of the middleweight championship that he won from Sergio Martinez one year ago.
Geale is looking to work himself back to the top of the division, after having been battered by Gennady Golovkin in their showdown last summer. So there’s a lot at stake for both men, of course.
Cotto is also gearing up for a potential fall fight against Canelo Alvarez. Canelo did his part by making easy work of James Kirkland, and now Cotto will look to take care of business here before moving onto that huge event.
There will be plenty more to come on this fight in the coming weeks before fight night, so be sure to keep on checking back for all of the latest updates and news on Cotto vs. Geale and the rest of the sport right here at ProBoxing-Fans.com.
