Adrien “The Problem” Broner is back in action this Saturday, October 3rd, as he meets Khabib Allakhverdiev for a title strap of sorts in the junior welterweight division. Here, Showtime is touting the fight as “Adrien Broner: A New Chapter”. Watch the promo video for Broner’s seemingly ongoing rebuilding phase, and his fight against Allakhverdiev, right here.
In the video, Broner says that guys like Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali and other greats all lost. It’s what you do after the loss that matters. He says he’s already accomplished a lot, but he has much more to do, and that he has something to prove to himself. He says that with mentor Floyd Mayweather gone from the sport, although nobody believes that, that the boxing era is up for grabs and that he is ready to seize that kind of huge opportunity.
Tune into Showtime this Saturday at 10pm Eastern from the Broner headlined card. Broner will be fighting from the comforts, and perhaps distractions, of his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
