It’s officially fight week in New York City, as Gennady Golovkin, David Lemieux and their teams have descended upon the big apple and the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, the mecca of boxing, for this Saturday night’s HBO pay-per-view clash. Today in Manhattan, the final Golovkin vs. Lemieux press conference takes place, and right here, you can watch it in its entirety live.
The press conference is slated to begin at 1pm eastern and will include Golovkin, Lemieux and their teams. There has not been any animosity between the camps, but there’s plenty of brash talk from both sides. Sometimes that confidence can turn up the intensity a bit as the two fighters begin to dig in with the claims they’re making.
So perhaps things get interesting at the final press conference. The undercard fighters won’t meet the press and their cameras until Thursday, and then the official weigh-ins for everybody will take place early Friday afternoon.
