The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel is pulling out all stops for world championship boxing’s first-ever appearance in Macau by producing a special theme song and music video for Zou Shiming. Performed by Stephanie Cheng (郑融), The “Fists of Gold” Theme Song Music Video (“皇金拳賽”主題曲MV) made its world premiere today and already it’s climbing up the charts from Beijing to Bar Harbor!
“Fists of Gold” Zou Shiming Theme Song & Music Video
I have no clue what the song is saying, so all things considering, it’s pretty catchy. It’s an appropriate name too, with Shiming’s double Olympic gold medals, and multiple world amateur gold medals.
Although, it’s actually for the entire event in Macau, also featuring Brian Viloria making a title defense, and a title fight between Rocky Martinez and Diego Magdaleno, and not solely for Zou Shiming.
“It’s a new era in boxing and Macau is the new frontier. Top Rank is proud to be a part of it with Sands China Ltd.,” said Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum “A music video theme song for a boxing event? Incredible! Let the Shiming Dynasty begin!”
It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that Shiming! (So says Top Rank…)
U.S. boxing fans will be able to witness the premiere of world championship boxing in Macau with Zou Shiming: Fists of Gold, featuring two world title fights and the professional debut of the Peoples Republic of China’s two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and three-time World Amateur Champion Zou Shiming. This brilliant event will be televised to the U.S. on Saturday, April 6, beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO2. Calling the action from ringside from the CotaiArena™, The Venetian Macao, will be broadcasting icons Tim Ryan and Larry Merchant and two-time heavyweight champion Big George Foreman.
