The second episode of Canelo Alvarez vs. Amir Khan 24/7 debuted on HBO this Saturday night.

In episode 2 of Canelo vs. Khan 24/7 we hear a lot about the speed versus power angle. Khan’s camp believes he’ll not only retain his speed at the weight, but he’ll more powerful as well, without having to cut weight.
Meanwhile, it’s business as usual for Canelo, except for one small adjustment to his team – a new dog, of course. We see more from Khan’s family on his side, and also get more background on Canelo’s early career and professional start, too.

This of course was Canelo’s most recent outing, and the biggest win of his career. He took on the defending middleweight titleholder in Cotto, although the fight was at a catchweight as is this one. His youth, power and aggression won the day versus the savvy and guile of the veteran Cotto.
Full Fight Video – Amir Khan vs. Marcos Maidana
Back in Khan’s junior welterweight days, this was one of his biggest wins. He sent Maidana down early to the body, and was in clear control of the fight. But, Maidana wouldn’t go away lightly. He had Khan seriously hurt and in real trouble towards the end of the bout, but Khan was able to survive.
