Frank Warren has spoken out after today’s reports that a deal for his charge Daniel Dubois to rematch Oleksandr Usyk is nearing completion.

Mike Coppinger of the Ring Magazine tweeted today that a second fight between Dubois, who has been promoted by Warren for the entirety of his professional career, and Usyk was being “finalised.”

The American journalist added that the bout, which would be for all four heavyweight word titles, is set to take place at Wembley Stadium on July 12.

When asked by BoxNation about the claims, Warren admitted that a fight with the Ukranian was top of ‘Dynamite’s list, however the Queensberry boss did not confirm anything had been signed.

He also expressed his discontent at the news being made public.

“I can’t comment on that because there’s nothing signed between the parties.

“There have been talks going on, but that shouldn’t have been coming out today.

“It’s no secret that that is the fight Daniel wants, and that’s the fight I want for him.”

The first fight between Dubois and Usyk took place back in August 2023, when the young Brit was stopped in nine rounds at the Stadion Wroclaw in Poland.

The clash was not without controversy, however, as some observers felt a fifth round low blow from ‘DDD’ was a legitimate punch and should have been scored a countdown.

Both men have enjoyed success since their initial meeting, with Usyk becoming undisputed heavyweight champion with a win over Tyson Fury, and Dubois himself picking up the IBF title by knocking out Anthony Joshua in five rounds last September.

The belt was only on the line that night as Usyk was forced to vacate ahead of his rematch with Tyson Fury, meaning he will no doubt feel like another fight with Dubois gives him the chance to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his and become undisputed for a second time.
