Weigh-In & “Tweet Up” Open to Fans for Morales vs. Maidana “Action Heroes”

Tickets are still available to this Saturday’s PPV “Action Heroes” from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The bout is stacked with talent, including big names, exciting fights and rising prospects. This week, the weigh-in and a special Tweet-up event are open to the public, and fight fans are encouraged to come out.

Action Heroes Fight Week Events Open to Public:

Friday, April 8 – Official Weigh In – On Scale at 2:30PM PT

  • Location: MGM Garden Arena
  • Note: Doors open at 1:00 PM; pay per view fighters weigh in  beginning at approximately 2:30 PM; undercard fighters to weigh in following PPV fighters.

Friday, April 8 – Official Fight Week “Tweet Up” at 4:00PM PT

  • Location: Rouge; MGM Grand
  • Note: Fighters, media & fans meet up for fight week party with ticket & merchandise giveaways, $5 Tecate drink specials and more.  (Must be 21 years old.)

To become a legend, you must beat a legend and on Saturday, April 9, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., eight “Action Heroes” will be featured in one night of all-out action fights where every bout pits two fighters looking to prove something against each other.  The HBO Pay-Per-View televised event features Six-Time and Three-Division World Champion Erik “El Terrible” Morales taking on former WBA Interim Super Lightweight World Champion Marcos “El Chino” Maidana in the main event.

The telecast also features former World Champions Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and Michael Katsidis “The Great” squaring off in what promises to be an all-out slugfest, come-backing junior middleweight knockout artist James Kirkland facing a stern test in former World Champion Nobuhiro Ishida and former World Champion Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi taking on tough Puerto Rican veteran Jose Miguel Cotto.
