At today’s official weigh-in at the DeVere Whites Hotel in Bolton, undefeated Chorley star Jack Catterall and Malmesbury’s Joe Hughes both hit the weight on the scales ahead of their WBO Intercontinental Super-Lightweight Championship showdown. Tomorrow night’s bill-topper doubles up as an eliminator for the British title.
All-action Catterall, 13-0 8 KO’s, and Hughes, 14-1-0 6 KO’s, headline tomorrow’s (Friday 13th May) mouth-watering night of action at the Premier Suite, Macron Stadium, exclusively live on BoxNation. Catterall, fighting at the home of his football team Bolton Wanderers for the second time, hit the scales at 9st 13lbs and 6oz while English Champion Hughes weighed in at 9 st 13lbs and 2oz.
The chief supporting bout also weighed in with Commonwealth Super-Middleweight Champion Luke Blackledge and Ghanaian challenger Ishmael Tetteh both making weight. Accrington action man Blackledge, 20-2-2 6 KO’s, came in at 168lbs while Tetteh hit the scales at 162.4lbs.
Also weighing in at the DeVere Whites Hotel was WBA Intercontinental Super-Lightweight Champion Kiryl Relikh, who defends his title against Brazil’s Joaquim Carniero Batista. Belarus knockout merchant Relikh came in at 139.2lbs while challenger Batista tipped the scales at 138lbs.
